History has not shown us that there are blacks who will refuse to vote for white candidates simply because of their race. If the Dems put up a white candidate whose views reflected theirs, blacks would vote for him or her. At least since World War II, the Republicans have been especially hostile to black Americans. Why would they vote for Republicans or join their party when they are not wanted there?
I understand Obama defeated Hillary because of the number of white, male voters in his camp. You were saying?

The stats show that Blacks voted for Obama simply because he was Black. There is no other explanation for the anomaly.

How do the stats show this? Stats don't give reasons; they only show correlations.

Blacks overwhelmingly support(ed) Obama both because he's Black AND because he's a Democrat. Couple that with his experience as a community organizer in which he advocated for the urban poor and as a civil rights lawyer, and you've got something compelling that truly speaks to the life experiences of Blacks.

Hmmm. Without some some supporting data, your comment is simply racist. Anecdotal evidence can be entertaining but, like consequential evidence, it rarely supports the real truth. However, if we want to deal in anecdotes, I will just say this very white conservative male Texan would vote for Al Sharpton if Sharpton had the experience, political philosophies and morals of John McCain.

Also I would only add that it is not the Republicans who have a long history of wearing bedsheets and burning crosses.

What world are you living in? You argue that 95% of blacks vote for Obama so they're racists but when it comes to 95% of Repubs being white, they are not racist? The fact is, the Republicans have done a terrible job of being a party for the general population (worse now with the new extremist conservative church and state combined rhetoric) which is why more women, gays, blacks and other minorities tend to vote democrat.

The anomoly is the fact that females overall tended to support Hillary. Why didn't black females support her in the same proportion as the rest of the female population? Why did black females overwhelmingly support Obama? Because he was Black! Next question, please.

Whose stats are you consulting? Did they ask black people who voted for Obama why they voted for him? Or are they, and you, making an assumption?

No, that's split between Dems and Republicans. White Dems and Republicans. But I'm sure if the Klan had a membership drive targeted at blacks more would join.

Now that you mention, the source is dubious: the mainstream media. Actually, if you spend ten seconds on Google you can confirm this for yourself. Normally I would post a link, but you just seem argumentative and are not serious about debating the topic.
