The South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman, Carol Fowler, offered the kind of shot at Sarah Palin that the Republicans have been complaining about, but which Democrats have largely avoided, in an interview with Politico today.

Fowler said McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Soooooo.....5 kids and 1 grand kid at age 44. That is certainly appealing to the conservatives.

Dern. I am in Charlotte. I will be glad to go down there and have a Come to Jesus meeting w/ Carol. I suspect there will be plenty of her own citizens in SC, however, who will beat me to it, LOL.

And when did Carol get so special, anyway?

Jonathan Martin's Blog: S.C. Dem chair: Palin primary qualification is she hasn't had an abortion - Politico.com

Disgusting. The dems are really in a meltdown and will continue to lash out at Palin, which will sustain the backlash obama is experiencing.

One of the criteria for a running mate is the ability for that person to bring a state or a segment of the electorate. It's obvious Palin has done both - Alaska is now safely in the "red" and she has set the base on fire behind McCain.

I think the woman is entitled to her opinion. And I think that Sarah Palin should come out and in her own words confront some of this and stop hiding behind surrogates.

That is what it seems DEMs don't get. When you all start saying that stuff, you are showing just how rigid you all are! I mean . . . if she had plastered all over the airwaves that her daughter had been preggers but had an abortion, then I guess it would have been fine w/ you guys! You can't have it both ways!!!

I do not care if Palin has had 1 child, no children or 20 kids. I don't care what her daughter has done, either! Why is it that the "party of the people" - DEMS - are putting down someone's lifestyle decisions?

I thought you all were inclusive . . . want everyone to be recognized as having rights no matter who their partners, etc.

But then you can't help but disparage this woman!

THis is NUTS!!!!!!!

I guess if she revealed her HUBBY is a transexual, ya'll would suddenly be interested.
