D-Day: Why Does This POW Denigrate McCain's POW Service?

"Most of us who survived that experience are now in our late 60's and 70's. Sadly, we have died and are dying off at a greater rate than our non-POW contemporaries. We experienced injuries and malnutrition that are coming home to roost. So I believe John's age (73) and survival expectation are not good for being elected to serve as our President for 4 or more years.

I can verify that John has an infamous reputation for being a hot head. He has a quick and explosive temper that many have experienced first hand. Folks, quite honestly that is not the finger I want next to that red button."

It's too bad that it has to come to this, but I have a feeling that Mr. Butler is speaking the truth.

umm when's the last time he has been with McCain?

Should we start calling everyone who did 'blow' with obama?

Do you have a clue how to stay OT?

WTH does Obama or cocaine have to do with a POW and McCain?

Are you feeling all right?

But since you brought it up (and brought it up again...and again, and again, on various threads; this seems to be a favorite tack of yours), did you vote for GWB even though he did "blow" as well...and is a recovered alcoholic who did not stop drinking until he was 40 (if he really did stop drinking)?

Because if you did...then you should probably lay off the "Obama -> blow" comments. In that case you would simply be defaming, not speaking based on any moral code of your own that you felt was being breached.

It's a really effective commercial, on the level of the swiftboat ads. It really would hit McCain where he lives (in fact, if I still liked the man I'd feel bad for him).

He's not denigrating his POW time, he's talking about the possible effects on personality, which in his opinion make McCain unfit for the presidency.

I think obama's plan for education will really help you out.

Read the story. It states WAS WAS WAS.
My question is how is this CURRENT EVENTS when the POW is speaking about something that happened 30-40 years ago!

Should we start calling everyone who did 'blow' with obama?
The point is that this is OBAMA'S PAST.
Is this today's current events? No.
Should we use it to show his current lifestyle? According to the OP it sure looks like it.

And dont forget, Bush was AWOL when he was snorting coke, yet had Daddy make some phone calls and pencil whip his absences from the Guard

Yes, McCain is NOT a level headed person, he can fly off the handle, and why his temper is a major issue is there are many more pressures as President than this man has ever been responsible for before. Add his age to the mix and you have a real concern.

And its one of many

John McCain has been through more than most of us could ever imagine. I'm sure his days in a POW camp with it's torture was horrendous. This has been used so much in this campaign as a "reason" to elect John McCain President that it has now brought a response by other POW's. His POW days has even been used as a reason why John cannot send emails. Dexterity of the hands no good after the torture. Only need one finger to type, my dad's 86 with severe arthritis and he can send emails. Because of the continual "hero" status of being a POW it seems that he should be President. John has always shown his anger and resentment to authority. This is NOT a good trait for a guy with his finger on the button. Maybe if John McCain would "zip it" about his war days in captivity and concentrate on how he is planning to get America out of it's current mess he might not be causing so much resentment. Did he not learn from John Kerry that in an Election, people want policies not war stories.

The poster renriq hit your silly little battleship and you run and say off topic.

I never read any of his other posts, but I repped him, because he's got your #.

Bwahahahahaha! That was funny.
