Why would ANYONE interfere with my beliefs and lifestyle? My goodness, are y'all THAT weak-minded and weak-willed? No wonder the libs here are in a tizzy.

There is only one thing that interferes with my life and its name is Lupus. But I still don't let it win.

IMHO, extreme religious nuts of all religions would be the most dangerous. They are regressive, anit-science, anti-reasoning and logic, brainwash people, are vocal, preach hatred in the name of love, claim their god tells them to do vile stuff which they "spin and whitewash" into their own agenda, etc etc. They are the scum of the earth.

Perhaps its because while conservatives look to politicians to run a government that exists to serve the people, liberals look to politicians to run their lives which exist to serve the government.

It's the same mentality that is behind Bush Derangement Syndrome, wherein every single solitary problem with their lives can be traced back and blamed, in some form or another, on Bush.

Reactionary members of the Republican base. Because they are going to let fear and lies dictate their voting choice.

Just curious why John McCain isn't on this poll. Are we all just assuming now that he will kick the bucket and we'll be left with Palin. I know the guys old and all but I think he can make it another 4 to 8 years. That being said I would still leave my original answer, just curious as to why he was left off.

Yeah, that must be it. They're so insecure that they need the president to think as they do or they feel "vulnerable." Puh-lease!

Libs, get some fortitude! And if you really feel so scared and vulnerable and believe the answer is the government, then you might want to elect the person with military experience who will deal effectively with Chavez, China, Russia and the others who strike fear in you.

Very true. In fact, it is these very extremists that led McCain to pick Palin, so as to appease the American Taliban of Dobson, Robertson, Hagee, Parsley, the late Falwell's crowd, et al. The biggest enemy is always the one WITHIN.

When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.....Sinclair Lewis.

We're almost there now, with all the pandering to McCain's POW experience, flagwaving taken to moronic extremes, warrantless eavesdropping, and that religious whackjob Palin on the ticket for VP.

Who's the biggest threat to your beliefs and lifestyle in 2008-2020?

The mainstream media.

...took the unedited transcript and video of the entire interview-which he'd recorded on his own-and put it out on the World Wide Web.

This made people at ABC News very angry. In fact, one vice-president told the New York Times, without a hit of irony, that

"We don't want other people attempting to get into and shift the journalism process."
Next to be heard was former ABC News Vice President Richard Wald, now teaching young journalists at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Wald called the CEO's strategy, "a not-so-subtle form of intimidation".

To clarify this, the producer or correspondent should record on the CBS tape, and in the subject's presence, this statement:

"We are allowing _________ to record the following interview for his/her personal use with the understanding that the contents are the legal property of CBS News and may not be published or broadcast in any medium by anyone other than CBS News and those expressly authorized by CBS News."

End of new section. 11/23/99
So, I didn't vote in the poll.
