Gallup: McCain 47%, Obama 46%, Yesterday, McCain was up 47%-45%.
Rasmussen: (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll - broken link) McCain 48%, Obama 47%, yesterday, McCain was up 49%-47%.
Research 2000: (http://www.dailykos.com/dailypoll/2008/09/16 - broken link) Obama 48%, McCain 44%, Yesterday, Obama was up 48%-45%
Hotline/Diageo: Obama 46%, McCain 42%, Yesterday, Obama was up 44%-43%.
Adding these polls together, the race is essentially a tie at Obama's 46.6% to McCain's 46.4% an improvement from yesterday, when the same math put McCain up by about a full percentage point.
More importantly, all four polls show a trend in Obama's direction...could it be some of the shine has started rub off of Caribou Barbie? Or is McCain just coming back to essentially where he was before the conventions?
why is she caribou barbie? she looks like a middle aged mom.

I know you're desperate to find any good news, but national polls are really becoming irrelevant now.

McCain and Obama had been tied in last month’s Ohio poll. White voters who had been undecided are breaking strongly for McCain. Where he had an 11 point lead with them last month, it is now 18. The Republican nominee has also greatly improved his standing among independent voters. He has an eight point lead with them now after Obama had a 17 point advantage with them in the August poll.
“There is a troubling trend for Barack Obama of undecided white voters in many of the swing states moving into John McCain’s camp,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “He’s going to be in trouble if he can’t get that turning back in the other direction.”
One factor that may be helping McCain to move up in the polls is his selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate. 43% of those surveyed said her presence on ticket made them more likely to vote McCain, while just 30% said the same about Obama’s choice of Joe Biden.
Last week the liberal media said Polls don't mean much right now. Now when the polls are closer, they all of a sudden are relevant. To the uninformed robot about the bridge, Sarah Palin IS THE ONE THAT KILLED THE BILL, it doesn't matter if she considered it earlier she ultimately was the one to kill it. On the other hand, Biden and Obama VOTED FOR IT, even when it meant diverting money from Katrina victims- how come that part never seems to get mentioned?

When did they become irrelevant, since you last posted one?
