Because Sarah Palin will also attend the rally at the UN protesting Iran's Madman visit, Hillary now says she won't go. If she can't handle an event with Palin, how in the world could she have handled real confrontations with leaders like Ahmadinejad?

I don't think this is a question for Debates, but rather should be over in the Political section.

The event is supposed to be "non-partisan."

Why is she being chastised by you, then, for not being able to "handle" Palin? As if any "handling" was going to be happening at all?

She's not going because it would look improprietous, and would be viewed by the vicious O-bots as an implied endorsement and support for Palin.

Hillary is walking a fine line of self-preservation here. She can't do anything that will be spun as not supporting "the one," because if "the one" loses, "they" will lash out to find anyone and anything to blame but "the one" himself.

Sometimes we should put our differences aside to do the right thing.

Hillary could've said that....

Or are you telling me Obama was endorsing McCain at the 9/11 memorial?

I don't think HC wants to be associated with Palin..If Palin shows at an event with HC there, the next thing the GOP will claim is HC is 'backing' Palin... Palin was going to show up at this even unannounced...

Tricky... I am glad HC caught word and bailed...

I think it's funny that she cancelled because she found out Palin would be there and Clinton didn't want to "be partisan".

Does that even make sense??

HC might as well stay home for the rest of her political career.

Hillary and Palin appearing for the same event would do no good for the actual "cause" behind the event. It would be a media circus, and Hillary and Palin would be forced to answer questions from the press about how much they like or dislike the other.
