I wonder if they also were fortunate enough to be chosen by a former Nigerian banker who recently passed aways family to transfer a large amount of cash into a secondary account that they have set up in Europe and all they had to do was to transfer $1000 to gain access?

Ok you guys have to stop this nonsense. Seriously the way some of you act is borderline crazy. Face it he will become president.

Not so fast!

John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone to US parents, his father on military assignment.

"John McCain, who ran for the Republican party nomination in 2000 and is the Republican nominee in 2008, was born at the Coco Solo U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone to U.S. parents. Although the Panama Canal Zone was not considered to be part of the United States,[6] federal law states: "Any person born in the Canal Zone on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States, is declared to be a citizen of the United States."[7] The law that conferred this status took effect on August 4, 1937, one year after John McCain was born — albeit with retroactive[8] effect, resulting in McCain being declared a U.S. citizen.[9]"

Natural-born citizen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Although the "citizenship by birth" rules have been complex, the February 2001 Child Citizenship Act (CCA) simplified the process. Now, a child who is under the age of 18, was born outside the U.S., and has at least one U.S. citizen parent automatically acquires U.S. citizenship upon entry into the country as an immigrant. No further paperwork is necessary. The parent may request a Certificate of Citizenship and U.S. Passport for the child if proof of the baby's American-ness is desired."

I saw nothing indicating a retroactive feature in the 2001 law. It would appear that the laws that were in effect at the time of his birth would prevail.

Don't you think that Obama's birth place/records were confirmed before entering into the primaries? Most Republicans would have found this info out then! Plus, not to be mean, but please do not use Wikipedia as a source for your info. Wikipedia is made up by people like yourself and other posters on here so the info is not always accurate. I could go in right now and delete, add, and edit parts of what you posted from the Wikipedia site.

Barack Obama, Natural Born U.S. Citizen, Birth Certificate Real, Eligible to be President

"Second, as Dean Esmay points out, it makes no difference whatsoever where Obama was born because his mother was an American citizen at the time of his birth. (Because only 42 men have ever been elected president and they were all born here, this has technically never been tested in court. FindLaw explains, though, why there’s every reason to presume that someone who is, by statute, a citizen at the time of their birth would pass muster.)"
