RealClearPolitics - Articles - Abortions Do Sometimes Produce Live Births

". . . . Barack Obama is a charming and intelligent man. But there is no other way to interpret his position on BAIPA than this: A woman who chooses an abortion is entitled to a dead child no matter what. That is an abortion extremist."

That's a lie and it's already been discredited here many times.

Even if it wasn't a lie, it wouldn't deter me from Obama. I support abortion no matter how far along the pregnancy.

lol! Reminds me of Jack and the "You can't handle the truth" line. Why lie to yourself rather than face a fact? Some, as the poster below, at least honestly believe that the policy to let a live, breathing baby born during an abortion is good policy. Many actually agree. Every candidate takes views that any self-thinking person may disagree with.

Step out from the dark side and learn a few facts:
Barack Obama's Actions and Shifting Claims on the Protection of Born-Alive Aborted Infants (http://www.nrlc.org/obamaBAIPA/WhitePaperAugust282008.html - broken link)

The truth?

The truth is simply that Obama voted "present" on that bill because he supported the basic idea behind it but opposed the language in the bill that placed unconstitutional restrictions on all abortions. His vote and his statement on the floor of the senate indicated that.

Now I'm at a disadvantage because I am looking at primary sources instead of letting someone else interpret it for me, but there it is.

Babies can survive outside the womb, as has happened before, as early as five months into pregnancy. So to any logical, moral human being, it should be considered that five months and above is way too late to get an abortion.

Of course to me, abortion should be illegal no matter what. But just saying...

Unless the "woman" happens to be very young; squirming and gasping for breath. That is, one's whose "choice" is to fight for life on a steel table.

Such a woman, is, of course, not of voting age and just suffered the misfortune of being born by one who does vote and just wants her to die already.

Compassionate Liberalism on display.
