It seems to be a great game plan for them.

Controlling Democrats? In 2004? Care to try again? With something actually based on FACT? Or is that just a little too far removed from the typical right wing, finger pointing, fear-mongering strategy?

The economy is indeed the number one issue. And Obama's plans, if implemented, will guarantee the economy sucks for years to come. FDR's hyper regulation caused the great depression to last through WW2 and the same will happen with Obama in the White House with a regulating happy Congress. Regulation and enforcement is needed but what the Dems will force Obama to sign will do far more harm than good. The Democrats would kill the patient to cure the disease.

And what will McCain's plan do?

That's a good question. It peeves me he hasn't spoken to this! People want solutions. He needs to show the difference in the choices. Blame for the fiasco will and should come later.

The republican campain must now try to divert America's attention from the Economy. They know they cannot win as long as the general public holds the Economic issues high in importance. So, as further evidence, they are now adjusting their campaign to personal attack mode. I don't think this will help much, but the republicans STILL seem to believe the general public (Joe 6 pack, etc.) is dumb enough to fall for this tactic. I think Americans will see it for what it really is.

While Republicans would tell the patient "go pound salt and die in the gutter!". We're too busy with corporate welafare to waste any time with mere American citizens.

Well there seems to be more than a few Homer Simp.....Uh Joe Sixpacks here, so maybe the repub's lies will work, but it's doubtful. In this age of information it's pretty darned easy to check facts. Obama has told a whopper or two, but lately that's all McCain/Palin do....It would be nice if both parties would cut out the lies and discuss the issues......Uh...I must be dreaming.

The continuous pounding of lies to people does seem to work in many cases. After all, Mickey D's is actually able to get millions of people to think getting their kids Happy Meals is getting them a meal, instead of what it more closely resembles, child abuse.

I hope that McCain's recent decision to 'go negative' will backfire on him big time!

People are afraid about their standard of living, and that of their children.

Anyone who tries to sweep economic issues under the rug is going to get a very painful wakeup call November 5th...
