Alaska's State pension is just as bad as Illinois but the main difference is.........drum roll..............the Governor has fiscal responsibility not Senators......right? They both have AA ratings, their funded ratio is almost identical .5% difference and their debt per capita is almost the same. More people means more debt smart guy.
Illinois has 6 counties in the top half for "bang for your buck" in regards to taxes and graduation rate. Now since Alaska is so small....I am sure they weren't included in this survey......funny how that State has as many constituents as some counties in Illinois.

When Barack Obama was a STATE Senator, (Not US. STATE.) he represented around 210,000 people. There were 58 other senators, as well. In short, any three state senators in IL represent as many people as Sarah Palin did as Gov of Alaska...
