If this is all a post traumatic stress thing from his POW days, I feel bad for him, but that convinces me even more that he doesn't have the temperament to be president.

If he's stressed now, how would he handle being PRESIDENT???
this validates my point about people selecting candidates based on personality instead of on facts or economics. welcome to the new socialist world order.......

No, I've debated the 'issues' here over and over.
THIS thread is about McCain's temperament.

It was obvious to me 8 years ago that GWB didn't have the temperament to be POTUS, and I haven't changed my mind. GHWB DID, and I voted for him. Clinton did. Dukakis didn't. Gore did (sort of). Palin...oh, never mind.

A candidate's emotional stability and intellect are important factors to consider in any election.

John McCain is an honorable man. He is the most respected and well-like person in the senate, buy both parties. He has a reputation of being reasonable and crossing party lines.
Obama is a lemming leading the lemmings. It is time Americans woke up.
Hmmm....a man who who isn't quick to judgment, thinks before he speaks and is able to consider both sides of an argument before making a decision...OMG, we're doomed!

It is true, McCain does not have either the temperment now the intellect to be President. Obama has both, in spades! It IS NOT a bad thing for a person who would be president to need to "think about things" before reacting! I would be much more wary of someone who "spouts off" without full knowledge of a situation than someone who wishes to take a bit of time to think over a situation, or consult with experts in a certain field, before making a critical decision. So, those of you who would critisize Obama for not "thinking on his feet" fast enough for you. . . perhaps you would like to reconsider?

That is so absurd. Obama is incredibly intelligent - remember, you guys are the ones saying he's an "elitist" And though he hasnt been in Washington for a billion years like McCain, he has shown that he has the level-headed judgement and reasoning skills necessary.

You McCain supporters just have this knee-jerk reaction to any valid criticism of McCain.

They thought the same about Reagan and he turned out to be a great president. Don't make inane assumptions about something you probably are not qualified to assert.

You don't sound like a "Republican who is undecided"

Taxes isn't the only issue on the table. I think one-issue voting is a mistake. Beware solely voting your pocketbook...

As long as someone reherses with him before hand, he will be ok. I don't really view that as leadership.
