What really cracked me up last night was when McCain tried to defend himself by saying things would have been different if only they had held more debates.

More debates?????? Why would he want that? Obama won all three!

The truth is, wherever he is today, McCain's breathing a sigh of relief that he never has to go through a debate with Obama again. And so am I--I enjoyed the debates but I'm burnt out now. Three was enough, ten would have been ridiculous. And I'm a political junky!

Oh honey,McCain never would have physically survived 10 debates. I was afraid he was going to have a stroke last night,w/ his crazed eye blinking, twitching, etc.

Actually, I wish Obama had been man enough, but he wasn't.

they don't need to debate 7 more times so that obama can repeat his lies over and over.

Man enough? How strange.

Three was plenty...and unless the moderators can learn to get them talking, beyond repeating the same material from previous debates, I don't even want three next time.

But one general, one focused on domestic issues, one focused on foreign policy....makes sense to me.

I again had to laugh at McCains attempt to blame the tone of HIS campaign on the fact that Obama had enough sense to not agree to 10 debates. The debates served to contrast a bumbling, mean-spirited man to Obama's quietly logical, confident style. McCain has no one to blame but himself for his performances.

(And I don't want CSI to keep getting preempted!! Enough already. )

Manliness???? We're talking debates, not sit-up contests. What does manliness have to do with it?

Unless, of course, you think the measure of a man is this: A man knows how to make a point but doesn't need to rub your nose in it. In which case three debates is enough. He won all three--he didn't need to rub McCain's nose in it by winning ten.

These were, IMO, the worst debates we have had in a long time. Bob Novak did the best job moderating last night, leading the candidates to discussion rather than allowing them to regurgitate their stump speeches. But even so...these were pretty awful debates, same info in each one. Neither candidate really came off the stump long enough to make a different or unique statement, change impressions or offer something we haven't seen before.

I wish we had atleast 1 debate between Palin and Biden. That sorry excuse for a 'debate' they had was nothing more than a stump speech on Palin's part.

A follow up VP debate would have been fun.
