I won't argue with you about your thoughts about Iran and Israel; believe what you wish. If that's the most important issue for you in this election, research it carefully, make your decision, and vote based on that issue.
My research doesn't lead me to think that the evangelical christian, rapture believing, radical right approach is the appropriate one to use as the basis for US relations with and support for Israel.
I live in the US, not Israel. I am a US citizen, as were my parents and grandparents. I am far more concerned about life in the US than our policy that may or may not affect Israel.
I'm far more disturbed by the idea of the US as a Christian nation ruled by fundamentalist christian radical right agendas impinging upon personal liberties than anything else. I value personal liberty; I'm pro-choice, pro public education, pro health care reform, etc. I value our constitution and the individual humans in our society. . .
