I think it's weird that either candidate is appearing on a sketch comedy show when the country is in as much trouble as its in.

What does this say about us?

I have mixed feelings about candidates appearing on SNL. My daughter, who LOVES Sarah Palin, thought it was a mistake when she was on..it takes them down a peg, like it is below them, you know? I mean, these people are running for office... do they have to be comedians too? I don't think any of them should go on.

I think the problem is more with the frightening amount of people who watch shows like SNL to get their news fix. People will watch Fey and Pohler and actually make some sort of decision about the candidates.
