So he's going to give us free money, but find other ways to have it taken away, that's classy.

LMAO blue states PA and OH.

If you ask Gov. Palin real nice, she might let you buy some of her natural gas so you don't have to freeze in the dark!

When thousands of Pennsylvanians start dying off because Obama killed their coal power-plants and they can no longer heat their homes in the winter or cool them in the summer, I will be laughing at their stupidity for voting the moron into office.

I was just in a roundtable discussion today with about 7 business owners and execs who are very excited about getting the details on this cap and trade program (they specialize in alternative energy). They would actually like to see some stronger initiatives adopted like Germany and Amsterdam where KWH rates are much higher than here, and people are charged a carbon tax. So almost every household uses wind and/or solar (and Germany is pretty cloudy), and people can sell the excess back to the utility. The solar and wind industries are exploding over there, and their economies are growing very well.

The people in this meeting were almost all "conservatives". All small family owned and operated businesses and entrepreneurs.

Why wouldn't they be happy if the competition is getting chopped off at the knees. It's not them that will be most effected by these rate increases but middle and low income people. People can't afford their energy bills now, it's too bad the oil didn't stay at $4+ a gallon this heating season because people would see where this type of legislation is heading.

HVAC forums are full of people trying to figure out what they can do to save money on their family crippling energy bills. But liberals in the name of tolerance claim it's for the betterment of mankind to abandon some energy sources in turn for some that hardly produce even a small minority of our energy needs.

I'm aware of that as I own the only one dedicated to coal usage that I'm aware of. My visits per day have quadrupled from last year at this time, I've had to upgrade the server plan twice in that time. Do a search for "coal Forum", top of the list. I'd post link but I'm sure it would be perceived as spam.

Edit: Here's an extensive post I made a little while ago. It's about 2 or 3 down.

Will the Anthracite Coal Industry find a revival?

Something you may find interesting as I see you have HVAC under your name. Current wait for a coal boiler is next spring for most manufacturers.

No one said that you had to buy that energy produced by coal. Why not just tell your state government that you want blackouts untill they can replace the energy with something in the distant future. Looking at all forms of energy the altenatives to crude;natural gas;and coal amount to less than 1% of energy consumed individualy The one that is closest to 1% is revolutionary;wood.
