It was quiet in Kansas. Go figure. Kansas quiet...of all places.

Everyone at my job is in wait-and-see mode. Hopefully we will have jobs and the economy doesn't continue to tank.

I wore blue & my Obama button to the store, had a few dirty looks. Seems a LOT of people had bright RED on today in my little Red town! People w/ McCain signs left them up & also hung their flags,in protest,I expect.

I was downtown last night at the Grant Park party (I'm sure all of you saw the pictures), so I didn't get back to my neighborhood about 3 miles away from the park until about 1am, and there were still a few people honking and yelling in the street, but I was I so tired at that point, I feel right asleep despite their hoopla with the faint sounds of occasional horns honking and shouting in the background.

I woke up and dragged myself to work this morning, but it was admittedly a bit of a chore.

Thanks. What would I do without my coffee and McMuffin in the morning.

At first I thought you meant that places closed down for good as a result of Obama becoming President Elect.

Somebody stole my Obama sign this evening. LOL, sore losers I guess. I really wish I could have been here to catch 'em.

I'm not surprised at the yelling and screaming from O supporters. I live in a civilized neighborhood.

No noise heard here either. But too cold for crickets. It was just quiet as usual, just the way I like it.

We live in McCain country, or so we thought, until we put up a big homemade 6 foot Obama! on our fence and when California was called, suddenly we had all kinds of neighbors out and shooting off fireworks. Navy, Marine, locals, and us! Whooohoooo!

How cute, aren't you a clever one? Actually, I work at a university, happily corrupting the next generation of our youth.

But I hope that insult serves you as well in the future as it apparently has in the past, given how often you like to trot it out.
