I drove thru town a bit ago (honking & yelling out the window ) & saw a boarded up window on a tavern right across the street from the Repub headquarters! Wasn't like that yesterday,
I wore blue & my Obama button to the store, had a few dirty looks. Seems a LOT of people had bright RED on today in my little Red town! People w/ McCain signs left them up & also hung their flags,in protest,I expect.
I was downtown last night at the Grant Park party (I'm sure all of you saw the pictures), so I didn't get back to my neighborhood about 3 miles away from the park until about 1am, and there were still a few people honking and yelling in the street, but I was I so tired at that point, I feel right asleep despite their hoopla with the faint sounds of occasional horns honking and shouting in the background.
I woke up and dragged myself to work this morning, but it was admittedly a bit of a chore.

At first I thought you meant that places closed down for good as a result of Obama becoming President Elect.
I'm (unfortunately) right smack in the middle of McCain country, so there's not much partying goin in. (Did you see the tens of people at McCain's party here in Phoenix tonite?) I wish I coulda been at Grant Park.
But, my husband and my brother and I have shared three bottles of champagne. What a fantastic night for us and for our country!
We live in McCain country, or so we thought, until we put up a big homemade 6 foot Obama! on our fence and when California was called, suddenly we had all kinds of neighbors out and shooting off fireworks. Navy, Marine, locals, and us! Whooohoooo!
Thanks. What would I do without my coffee and McMuffin in the morning.
How cute, aren't you a clever one? Actually, I work at a university, happily corrupting the next generation of our youth.
But I hope that insult serves you as well in the future as it apparently has in the past, given how often you like to trot it out.
