Coal is black

Snow is white

I have yet to meet a man or woman whose skin matched either one.

Being an elementary school teacher, I am ha ha ha haing......I read stuff like this from my 4th graders all of the time. Wow, I guess us teachers need to give our students a longer vocabulary list. S-E-C-E-D-E, secede are some states really seriously thinking about S-E-C-E-D-I-N-G?

Well, I can see we're well on our way toward that "unity" that Obama promised.

Obama is Black and White, just like his supporters. Sounds like you're the only one who's hysterical. Get a grip.

I've been shown numerous cell phone fwds the last two days by idiot co-workers, all racist in tone and downright ignorant. It's interesting watching the closet racists come out swinging now.

And since you teachers haven't been teaching what the kids really need is exactly the reason we homeschool our kids. We want them to be able to actually comminicate, something that I find most people lack these days.

It's sad, isn't it? I remember my daughter bringing home an English paper in grade school that she got an A on, and it had spelling errors and incorrect usage of "there" and "their" and I asked her how she got an A with those errors. She said the teacher grades on content, not spelling and grammar. WHAT?! I said OH NO YOU DON'T! YOU will learn to spell and use grammar correctly even if the teacher doesn't require it. Do some teachers just not care or what? We have excellent schools in our district - in fact, I specifically wanted to raise my kids here because of the schools. But if there was something the school wasn't teaching then I taught it to my kids myself. I mean, just because the teacher THIS year is going to let them get by with that, doesn't mean it's going to be okay next year or in college!

Hey, that's not bad at all. We have some teachers here who don't even grade on content but format alone. We have an algebra teacher who makes a major test grade of interpersonal skills and copying notes rather than real algebra and a science teacher who is showing the movie Jurassic Park over 4 days to teach about the geological time periods, a history teacher who is teaching ancient Roman and Greek civilization by showing the movie Gladiator.

Lets just say that we spend nearly as much time home schooling the kids now that they are in public school as we did as home schoolers.

Barack Obama has no idea what kind of mess he has promised to fix. If he thinks more government is the answer I can't imagine what we will have in 4 or 8 years.
