Obama wants congress to start thinking about this plan now, so he can hit the ground running January 20th and push for immediate implementation.
The plan focuses on employing people to make public buildings more energy-efficient, repair roads and bridges, modernize schools, increase broadband access and ensure that health care professionals have access to the latest technology.

"Sounds" good, reads good; however, if he could/would stop the job loss now, in its tracks, the pipedream point of 2.5 million jobs would make his job a lot clearer, wouldn't it? And if "he", the messiah, is going to create all these jobs, how's he gonna pay for them? Oh, I know, raise taxes! What a novel idea.
I like the fact that so many of the jobs are technology/computer oriented. I wonder if they will have a hard time getting applicants for the infrastructure jobs, however. We're not quite in the desperate situation that folks faced in the 1930s, so I wonder if people will feel the bridge-building jobs are too menial?

Absolutely! The problem is how to stop that job loss. Do you have any suggestion of something a POTUS could do to accomplish this idea?

I'm not paid enough for that headache, deary. He's already making the bucks, and will take it in the shorts pay-wise when he ascends the catbird seat, and he probably wouldn't listen to the "little man," anyway. Thinking about that, why are you here, and not on his list of cabinet positions?

Well, you need to keep in mind that construction jobs overall have dried up. My friend's family owns a construction company that takes a lot of state jobs and their work has definitely dried up, he's had to let a lot of people go. There is definitely a need there, job-wise.

I like that the poster asked you a perfectly reasonable question and you responded with this. Nice.

No reason to get snippy, "dearie." Normie asked you a logical question. You're fond of sitting in this forum and criticizing. He asked you what would be better. Don't you have any ideas?
