All you do is point out insanity.

Please put it all in perspective for us.

You have the answers. Why hold them back?

I find it funny when people think the "kids" are the ones that screwed up.

The kids havent been voting for the past 40 or 50 years because they didn't exist. What we are right now is due to decisions enacted by previous generations. Give the kids a chance.

You're right !! Pelosi running this country to any greater extent would really be bad. Joe Biden running this country is equally bad. Barack running this country ...... bad.

It's just a swing. 8 years from now Republicans will be in office again. Because Barack and Hillary will hurt the world you live in.

Not a problem for me, I live in a part of the country where we're not affected by political crap .. but it's the kids ( today's young folks ) who've been hoodwinked.

An I-Pod in every pot.

and what exactly is so bad? the market correcting itself because too many people took on bills that they couldn't pay? The US is not perfect, if you think you could have a better life somewhere else then ....bye...have fun.

I want to give today's young people all the credit they are due.

But I must remind you that some of us older folks were kids ( able to vote ) back in the '60s and '70s.

It may be true that some of those "kids" didn't vote back then because of an impending acid trip, or maybe they were smoking pot ( cell phones are worse ) .... but now that they have jobs and children ... I bet they vote.

I don't think you understand, I'm saying that the people that were kids in the 60s and 70s have shaped this country into what it is now, for better or for worse depending on who you ask. So railing on modern day kids for voting for whatever is kind of missing the point of why we are where we are, as it's not really on them. What happens over the next 20-30 years is a different matter.

Obama getting voted in because people "believe America is on the wrong track" is enough proof for me, but you're welcome to your difference of opinion friend. I'm not going to "leave the country" because I feel I can make this country better than what it presently is, isn't tat the American way? Or do Americans just shirk off people that disagree with them and tell them to leave?

Ya Know FinkieMcGee,

I didn't think of it that way -- and you have a point.

Ugh, I don't know if it's the same, but maybe it is.

I'm not sure that kids these days really know what they're voting for. Or more probably against. But, it will help shape America's future.

Will the "ME" generation eventually reach out ( with their own money ) to the less fortunate across the globe?

I guess they will have to -- because they will have to keep capitalism going through their own inventions. To have their own children, and carry on and improve their standard of living; they're going to have to stop dependency on Mom & Dad, and earn a living ( idealism in tact ).

What thoughts will enter into today's youth when they become '40' or '50'? Their kids will already be grown up and voting for "someone".

Maybe a socialist. I hope not.

This is a very scary and realistic Topic. There are already people on the Obama Birth Certificate threads advocating removing him by force if the court system doesn't find that he is not elgible to be President. The will of the people put this guy in office, and already there is a fringe element advocating to "use force" to remove him.

Being the first Black Man and a (apparently) slightly left of Center Liberal to be elected President, the threat of an assasination attempt is very much real. While I am happy to be a part of a nation that successfully elected this man to office, I am scared that there are certain elements in this country that will take extreme steps solely because they CAN'T except a Black, Left of Center Individual as President of this country.

I don't think it's as bad as all that.

Americans don't care as much about skin color as they do about political ideals.

Skin color is not a determimant anymore in the people's mind. That is a good thing about America.

Racists are idiots, and they are destined to be the few in this country.

I hope you are right. I hope that's the case.

And with each and every election from here on out, we can margilize the racists more and more.

I just think, from experience, there are more racist than we know.
