Untrue. Electing an incompetent man for the wrong reason is an insult to me. And you, but you're too much of a sheep to notice.

If you notice, as a white person like myself (and I dont even tan well, so I'm about as "white" as you can get) our history is always been diluted to the point we are the greatest nation on earth and "race", outside of slavery that supposedly ended with the Civil War, is not worth teaching in history class.

This country was founded on racism. It has been institutionalized and part of and segregation only disappeared (officially) less than 50 years ago. So that makes how many hundreds of years where it was authorized?

Dont even start on Native Americans, who were almost wiped out. We dont want to teach those unpleasant truths, they interfere with the patriotic versions everyone was taught.

Sure here's an example "I think it's better for everybody when we spread the wealth."

Having ideologies that mimick the Communist Manifesto.

Nationalized healthcare.

Taking away my liberties and my wealth to benefit the "common good".

If I'm wealthy and inclined to benefit the common good, I should be at liberty to benefit it as I see fit, and to the extent I see fit. I should not have my pockets picked at big government's discretion.

There is no person alive today who was ever a slave, nor is there anyone alive today who has ever owned a slave. "It's time to look forward, not backward". Obama said so yesterday.

I would LOVE to see "white history" celebrated more often, let's remember slavery and the genocide of Native Americans as our first foray into "White History Month", whaddya think?
That's just stupid. Do they remember the LA riots as their first foray into "Black History Month"? Do they celebrate the African tribes selling their own people during Black History Month?

If your ancestors were whipped, beaten, sold and murdered, you'd probably at least like it formally recognized as being wrong with an apology, and would like closure to whatever degree such an admittance would provide (probably little)

Pfffftttt... Closure.

What a load of crap. The blacks who WANT to get over it and move on, have done so long ago. The blacks who DON'T want to get over it and move on NEVER WILL.

In that regard, they're no different than people of any other race.

To demand that people who have never committed the atrocity, apologize to people who were never victims of the atrocity, is LUDICROUS and a terrible waste of time.

Part of the reason it's such a waste of time is that the people who are RECEIVING the fake apology knows that it means absolutely nothing, and benefits them in no way at all.

I live in a black neighborhood, in the black part of my city. I could go next door and apologize to all my neighbors, and they'd think it was a stupid as I would. They know that I had nothing to do with slavery, and neither did they.

Those who WANT to move on, already have.
Those who WANT to make excuses and blame everybody else for their problems, always will.

I disagree on this aspect for two reasons. Those who insist on a public apology from white people benefit in this manner:

1. An apology implies guilt, and enables the propagation of the victim mentality. This allows people to lean on society and complain that they can't get ahead because whitey won't let them, so there's no use trying. It's a vicious cycle. It takes effort to break the cycle and as long as we have an excuse not to exert ourselves, why bother?

2. Potentially set themselves up for some sort of "reparations" in the future, perhaps under the administration of a sympathetic president (even though his ancestors were not slaves).
