I for one do not see how volcano monitoring is something that all americans should pay for. But I am for funding research into how we can make the west coast snap off and slide into the pacific
Just kidding...relax.

God help these GOP philistines! If it's not about MAKNG MONEY, they CAN'T GET IT!

Here, Governor, let me google that for you!
Let me google that for you

I guess the only rumbling of the ground he feels in Louisiana is when a freaking OIL REFINERY blows up!
Let me google that for you
No surprise here... When it comes to science the GOP is absolutely clueless.

I think the rationale is this... 140 million bucks to investigate something that killed 57 people nearly 30 years ago. Sure this monitoring is important but it is hardly an urgent need, especially with all else that is going on.

Well I think that it is high time that the US stop paying those hurricane monitoring earmarks just for Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

A major eruption of Mt Rainier isn't going to kill only 57 people next time, unless there's LOTS of monitoring and warnings.

OMG, you all are still going on and on about Jindal. Let it go. It just makes you look silly to get so concerned about one rebuttal speech. Obama probably won't serve more than one term, but it won't be Jindal's fault.

What does it matter if you have some monitoring equipment if your kids can't afford to keep it running.

How do you even know that? Your advocating throwing 140 million dollars at something you don't even fully understand.

Savage Planet: Volcanic Killers - Mount Rainier
"In all, 30,000 Puyallup River Valley residents could be in direct danger, along with 100,000 people living in the mountain's six other valleys."
