I don't think any of you know who this guy is.

Obama is probably the worst enemy this country has ever faced.
Hahahahaha.
Hahahahaha.
What a joker.
This is the silliest post I've read on this topic.
Bush started 2 wars and bankrupted the country, yet you blame Obama.
Hahahahaha.

After many years as a registered republican, I changed my registration to Independant prior to this last election. 8 years of Bush and his cronies convinced me that republicans in general do not have the best interests of the people as their #1 agenda. The republican big tent of the 80s has turned into a pup tent with a few die hard right wingers who's only political strategy is to obstruct and obfusicate any advancement of the American agenda. While it's true that the Obama administration has made some mistakes in their governing, overall their agenda is geared towards improving the American condition and lifting us out of the mess inherited from the Bush years. I see no compassionate conservative leader on the republican horizon and feel that Obama and his administration will lead our country in the direction it needs to go in the 21st century, rather than the republican agenda which would take us back to the middle of the 20th century if it were ever to gain power again. So of course I voted yes. Funny how it turned out, John McCain lives right down the road from me but I voted for Obama.

As of today, I'd vote for him again. Who knows what can happen over the next few years or who else will run though....

Ditto here. I was a registered Independent for almost 30 years, voted GOP from Nixon in 1968 through Papa Bush in 1992. Dole's 1996 campaign was a joke, nothing was broken, so I voted Clinton in 96. In 2000, my wishes to see John McCain run against Bill Bradley came to naught, so I voted for Nader (in VA, so it didn't matter) to show my contempt for both parties.

Seeing the Bush Tragedy, I registered as a DEM so I could play in the COLO caucus for Obama and try to turn things around. I didn't want another Clinton, or another Kennedy, and I don't want another Bush either. One of my mantra's is NO MORE DYNASTY's in American politics. With 300M+ people, we don't have to keep electing / creating an American version of royalty. Today's GOP, with it's American Taliban religious loons, will most certainly set us back to the dark ages of Jim Crow and misogyny.

I worked for, funded and voted for Obama. He's doing fine, Congress is the problem. I'll go with Obama in 2012.

ANNOUNCEMENT....

After 109 votes,I consider trustworthy the suggestion that up to 9 of the 24 Nos may be fake,so I do not count them...

So,the results are....

Out of 100 Obama voters,

85 will VOTE for him again in 2012,
15 will NOT VOTE for him in 2012...

Onama got 69m votes,to 59m for Mc Cain...

So,if he loses just 8 % of his voters,he comes even to a Repub candidate, provided the GOP candidate gets as many votes as Mc Cain ,which is most possible...

If he loses 15%,as polled here,in this thread,he certainly loses in many critical states & probably loses reelection...

So,maybe here in our small internet community of CDF,we run a historical poll...

If Obama does not recover,
he will either have a repeat of the 2000 elections thriller, best case scenario,
or he will lose clearly to a Repub candidate, equally or more famous to McCain...

Thank u all for your participation,u may have acted historically, with your votes & posts...

Scripta manent. 2012 is coming soon...

If the thread has momentum,we may reconsider when we have 200 votes in...

Your logic makes sense but is slightly flawed, IMO. You've got to factor in the voters who voted republican last time and may very well vote for Obama this time. Not all republicans are in lock step. Perhaps a thread that polls those who voted for McCain/Palin last time and would they vote for Obama this time. If only 15% say yes then it's a wash.

The Obama victory was a landslide & McCain was ...terrible,like Dole 1996.
So,it is rather impossible for a good ,popular GOP candidate to fall below 59m votes...
It doesn't get ...any worse for GOP.

While,on the other side,the Dems reached a potential limit,at 69m...

Just a strong candidate for the GOP,just an erosion of Obama's image by socialising HC & the general state of the economy, plus disappointment of the leftists for...compromises over HC & "wars " & the stage is set for a GOP victory in 2012.

And what will the Repubs do,if they win in 2012..?

Expand Medicare...
