I hate that too. It's bad english. In fact, the guy that started that stupid phrase admitted that at the time, he meant to say "me bad." But it came out wrong.

I hate it when I hear people start a sentence, " Me and my.... sister/brother/wife/girlfriend, etc. Bad english.
And I hate the media for naming age groups, such as " baby boomers" or " X generation". Who asked the airhead media to label, and I refuse to be identified by a group so diverse.
So now I hear people blame everyone in an age group as though everyone
the same age is a member of a club.

Also the one's that start a sentence with:

"Myself and my family are moving to.."
I just wonder if english is their second language or if they dropped out of school in the 3rd grade.

Ever since I read this post I've noticed a couple of my friends have been using the phrase "not so much". Hahaha. The last time I heard one of them say that, I sort of silently laughed.

I may be responsible for basically since I was using it back in the 80's. Then one day I stopped to think and realized how stupid it was. I try noty to use any of these sayings. Imake a concerted effort to speak proper English. I have used "back in the day" a few times but slap myself and apologize to who Im talking to. The person is usually clueless but I explain that I have standards and will not speak in ghetto slang. I correct myself and continue by saying "back in 84" or whenever.

The Media should be embarrassed for coming down to the level of the cretins! They should set standards and examples!

What grates on my nerves is when someone precedes a statement with "I'm not gonna lie...". It bugs me so much!

2. "at the end of the day"
3. "ewww!"
4. "wow."
5. "omg"
6. "really?!"

It's so totally insane to read all this and at the end of the day, as if....it's so whatever ...ooops my bad!
I meant to say "I basically agree".
I dislike the "my bad" more than any of them.
