Due to the fact that french people don´t like Americans at all, I´d say Spain.

Sorry, give us more information. Tell us your preferences

It is a ridiculous question - actually, in many respects a childish question - and depends on so many factors. Both countries are large and diverse. Quality of life in Paris, Madrid or Barcelona is very different to quality of life in Annecy, Valence or Granada.

France is more expensive but the economy is better and the government services are better.

There is very little anti-Americanism to experience in France. There is a certain resentment of American culture, American culture that is hillbilly like.

I have American relatives that have lived in Paris for many years and they are raising their two kids there and they are quite happy. Everyone is fluent in French, which is very important to fit in and make friends. That being said, almost every young person is fluent in English.

Maybe Americans aren't humor-impaired, just vision-impaired...our health care system isn't topnotch.

I wouldn't live in Spain, it is a nice place to visit, but I don't think that living there is that great. I have never been to France, so I can't comment on that country.
