Ive always thought there were 2x Celtic migrations into Britain ,first from the East, with blue eyes that originally came from the Latvia area, poss Scandanavia ( well before Viking times) the other more centrally, with darker skins that tan, thinking France, Belgium area, poss touching Iberia. These groups fused into a unique look. Though I can tan, I go ghost white throughout the Winter, and most British babies are born fair but will go dark brown later ( then recede even later!) Later migrations have added but I agree blue eyes do dominate

Oh well, you thought wrong. Celtic migrations and invasions came from Central Europe! Celts whether fair/dark came to the British Isles by way of Western Europe and not the Baltic lands. Overall Celts were usually of a light pigmentation.
I didn't say they sailed from Latvia, that is where blue eyes originated, of course they came from Western Europe over ground when the land masse was connected, after that who knows, I was not there and neither were you. ( well I hope not)

That was 10,000 years ago!! By the time Celts came to the Isles, there were already blue-eyed people in parts of Europe.
I'd say yes they are different ethnicities. Scots, Welsh, Irish and English all have a distinct national identity. Its possible to split them up into further smaller ethnicities or ''sub'' ethnicities maybe?
