I can tell you now (because I see it with my own eyes every day) a majority of people in the UK have dark hair (majority does NOT mean all!!), it does seem that a higher percentage of Britains have dark hair compared to other North European countries, why? who cares!, however they do not necessarily 'look' southern European - apart from some of them which do!!

Once again, come to Germany or Notherlands and you will see t=that they are diverse to, that doesn't help them to be northern European.

PS; many (if not most of) your "dark haired people" would probably be considered blond of light in your southern neighboring countries.

I know that people are also 'diverse' in Germany and the Netherlands etc, but it does seem that in the UK there is a 'higher percentage' of people with dark hair (and I do mean dark hair and not hair that would be considered 'blond' in other neighbouring countries), by this I mean dark brown to black. I also believe that if you took a walk in Paris, Berlin, London or Rome you would see that MOST of the people there wouldnt look out of place in any of these cities.

That's because they are the same international tourists... If you walk in the streets of central Paris and think that the people you come across in the streets you are mistaken. When you are a french local, you can Spot groups of English, Dutch, Germans, Americans because of their much higher percentages of nordic looks.

Yes, the same crowd of tourists. As to Americans, white socks...baseball caps, and the weirdest contraptions to avoid pickpockets..

Look at genetic studies, the British isles (included Irish) cluster with Dutch, Norviegians and northern Germans more than with any other people in Europe. Come back to live in the real world "don caballero".

I'm talking about physical appearance not about stereotypes or clusters. Netherlands Is much blonder than the UK its not even funny to make a comparison, also people are way more tall. The same applies to some degree for northern germany. Southern germany is actually more diverse at its part of central europe, but still lot of blondes and stereotypical germanic looking people can be found.

In the UK most people look atlantic/western they dont have your typical germanic/teutonic faces, but rather more antlantic european variations, very few brits look completly germanic. And about blonde brits yes they are present specially in some small patches in east anglia but overall britain is far from being very blond. Im most areas of the UK dark brown haired males are dominant.

Absolute rubbish I'm afraid! The French and British and Germans or Austrians or Belgians look the same my friend, both countries have a mix of people, how anybody can claim some kind of French or British or German 'look' in the 21st Century really is beyond me!! If you think you can tell apart a Frenchman from a Britain pray tell me EXACTLY what these differences are please?

British are Northwestern European.

But if I am about to name what is close to them being Southern European then it is more likely the Belgians and Northern French (whom are Western).

The only chance those people are british is that they come from a small patch in east anglia with higher germanic input. Go to most places in england and most white british males have dark brown hair, medium brown at best..
You are either ignorant or are having illusions about British people like Don Caballero! All the pictures I posted are British Isles people by excellence. The school is purely English, also reflects the level of blondism among indigenous English people, about a 30%-40% on average. You also don't know much about South Africans either. Anybody who really knows South Africans schools can tell the difference. The hair colouring of those school kids also reflects another characteristic, a high frequency of red-headedness which is much higher than the European average. Anyway, hair color in most cases is darker in adulthood than in childhood. Blondism in Britain is not only limited to East Anglia, it's very common all along the east coast of both England and Scotland which just as light as most places in Northern Europe. Shetlands and Orkneys are lighter than East Anglia and are much more blue-eyed. The more you go north in Britain, the more common blue eyes become, East Anglia has a stronger Germanic input, but has more brown eyes than many places which are strongly Celtic such as Ireland/western Scotland/Cumbria. The commonest hair in Britain is a medium brown among adults, not dark brown though the latter is more common in the west than in the east.

Oxford, England

Hereford, western England near Wales

This is Stourbridge, West Midlands

Therefore not many people in the British Isles look Southern European as you and Don were putting it.
They are closer to other Northern European people than they would to Spaniards! Where is that "small patch" joke
now?

Nowhere near 40% of Britains are blond!! I know, I live here I see it EVERY time I leave my hpuse and I have no reason why I would argue the point if it wasn't true!
