I am talking mostly about White people in France.

I have noticed that there is a huge variety of looks among French people. Like some French women have that Latina look to them (tanned skin, black hair, brown eyes, etc.), some have that Marion Cotilard (probably mis spelled name) look to them, and quite a few blondes and nordic looking women there too.

Now stereotypically, Italian women are known for having the "darker" appearance to them (which I am crazy for in women) while Scandinavian women are generally known for being Blondes with blue eyes.

Also with guys too, I noticed that some French guys like Phillipe Mexes are Blonde while others like Bapiste Giabaconi could pass for minorities here in the US.

Are ethnic French people (might have used the wrong wording) just too varied in looks for one to say what they look like?

Yes I think they are... I couldn't say "that girl is French" just by her look, she can be Spanish, German, Italian etc. (whatever is her skin and hair colour) But it happens because caucasians are dark or light skin and dark or light eyed... the same happens in almost all south and central Europe.

France is the cross-roads of Europe so you have all kinds of looks. Still, a lot of French girls I've met have a more um, classically 'Roman' features even if light-haired. Like prominent nose, deep eye-sockets...you seldom encounter the Germanic type look with a 'flatter' sort of face, smaller eyes, very pale hair/eyebrows. I tend to think of the French as looking more like Italians than Germans, although they vary a lot.

French women vary tremendously, some could pass easily for white Hispanics while others look like Nordics. One thing is that they are very sophisticated and always very fashionable.

The French women in the South of France (like in Toulouse) are ridiculously hot. Many have that Mediterranean olive tone, dark hair and look more Spanish but still with sexy white girl faces + rocking bodies. Over there the girls know how to dress and party with class and are obviously a ton of fun. The region is one of my favorite places to visit just wish I had gotten there before I was married!

In the region of Scagermerlot, near the gorges of the Tarn river, not far from the fabled Gevaudan, an ancient feud of legends, people have seen checkered bardufets or midgets dancing and drinking stramonium. Centuries ago, the Pope sent an Inquisition official, but he disappeared.

French have a variety of looks from Gaulish/Celtic, Breton, Germanic, Italic etc.

Since I am British of French origins and have family that would look like Norman/Breton mixes already gives the idea.

French people to me look mostly more in the range of Breton/British Celtic, Parisian/Norman/Germanic and to a great extent Italic/Italian than anything else.

In my opinion they look like this:

Most French I see on everyday basis are from the Midi, more than half of France. They look Spanish. In fact, I can't tell them apart because they behave in a similar manner.

It should be noted that during the 19th and 20th century France had huge immigration's waves from Italy, Portugal, Greece and Spain. So many people just look from the South because.. Their parents were, or they are themselves mixed French-"Mediterranean". But France had a quite big (but smaller) immigration from the East before and after the WW2. That's why some French have a Polish (mostly), Russian or Czech look.
Because French fertility rate is the same since more than two centuries (around 2 per woman, a small number in comparison to the UK and Germany before the WW2), France always welcomed immigrants to develop its economy.
