There are some exceptions though. For example, in South Asia, the more north you go, the more backwards people are (Afghanistan) but the more south you go, the more normal people get (South India, Sri Lanka)
The basic principles of today's life, such as democracy and individualism was first spread in ancient Greece. Whatever argument you come up with, the reality is that you and a large part of the world live a lifestyle that was "invented" in southern Europe.
The other reality is that throughout history what is now considered Northern Europe was a very sparsely populated area. That is still largely true today. Gee, I wonder why is that?

I live in USA.....The American media only shows us tribal Africans. I have seriously never seen that type of African architecture before. American tv only shows huts
