There are also Dassault (23 000 employees), Thales (62 000 employees), Safran (70 000 employees), Stelia, SNECMA, Creuzet, DGA etc...

You are completely wrong about that.
-The aircraft industry in France is only slightly larger than in the UK or in Germany.
-Airbus was always evenly divided between France and Germany. 30% came from Daimler AG (Germany), 30% came from France. France didn't sold an Airbus stake to Germany. They sold it to investors. The governments of both countries now held each 12% of Airbus, Spain holds 4%.
The official place of business in in Leiden, Netherlands. The HQ is in Toulouse. Thomas Enders is the CEO of Airbus. He is s German.

Wrong Wrong and again Wrong!
Lagardère, [French] sold 12% of Airbus to Daimler (all its stocks)
French State sold 12% of Airbus to Germany in 2010 2011 2012 2013

To make Germany on an equal footing with France but it was never the case before!

the CEO? and?
Only the Chairman of the Board of Directors is important for Airbus. It is Denis Ranque [French]. He chose Anders to give the impression to Germans that Airbus was European.
But even today. after Lagardere and the French state sold airbus to Germany,
French State : 11,00 %
German State : 10,90 %
Qatar Investment Authority with French authority : 6 %
BlackRock : 4,20 %
Spanish State: 4,10 %

"The official place of business in in Leiden, Netherlands"
There is nothing there. It is just to avoid some taxes.

Airbus group is also based on the French CAC40 and at La bourse de Paris (French Stock Exchange).
There is nothing European with Airbus.
