I guess that after living there for many years, you can detect "nuances"..

No it isn't! That's cr*p, you are simply quoting (awful) stereotypes!

Somebody that lives 20 miles from sunny Brighton (on a cloudless sunny day in October)

I lived in Hove...and yes, there might be cloudless sunny days in October, maybe three in a row....

As to Sunny Brighton.....compared to what?

It doesn't matter what you compare it to! This is exactly what you said:-
Even Sunny England is windy, dark, humid, drizzling..the sun does not burn...and I'm talking about Brighton..

Cmon!! 'she sun does not burn!' this is clearly rubbish, it is stereotypical nonsense. Every day so far this month has been cloudless, its cloudless RIGHT NOW, we've probably had 5 or 6 days of rain since the beginning of July, I would hardly call that 'windy, dark, humid and drizzling'.

Signed
Somebody currently sitting 20 miles north of Brighton under clear blue cloudless sunny skies.

I lived for 5 years in the Malaga area of Spain. I don´t like constant heat in the summer. My fiancé loves living in Scotland, it´s temperate where we are.

I LIVE here, I have walked the pier in EVERY month of the year thank you, besides I say again, you said this:

Even Sunny England is windy, dark, humid, drizzling..the sun does not burn...and I'm talking about Brighton..

What has 'walking the pier in November' got to do with it? You didn't say anything about 'November', you said and I quote again:- England is windy, dark, humid, drizzling....the sun does not burn, which I say again is complete stereotypical nonsense, in fact it is SO stereotypical it made my monocle fall from my eye socket!

Indeed, the sun does not burn, the country is humid, it gets dark at a very early hour....and why do they have so many fat rabbits in the countryside? No foxes?

Its worse in 'other' European countries than it is here in November and December, you don't seem to know what you are talking about!? Like I said, you simply came out with god awful stereotypical nonsense and decided to try and 'peddle' it as a fact.
