Independent judiciary, stronger rules of law, land reforms, energy market liberalization and some kind of anti corruption agency that has power. Basically new laws that the parliament there doesn't seem to want since many of them are still beholden to corrupt interests who would lose out in a competitive system. Not unlike what the rest of Eastern Europe dealt with in the past 25 years...

Other than that? Get rid of Donetsk and other mafia controlled areas. Poland shifted its historical borders west, so can Ukraine.

More or less this.

Russia will not relinquish Crimea without total war, possibly also Donbass.

So Ukraine/NATO/EU would have relinquish at least Crimea, possibly also Donbass - de jure or de facto doesn't matter, but better de jure - and NATO/EU would have to provide security guarantee, i.e. all-out war.

Question is, also in view of Ukraine's socio-political problems, is NATO/EU willing to pay that price?

Russsia/Putin invented the idea that Crimea is important to NATO/EU in order to boost his political standing when he annexed it. Its not important at all to the west other than the idea of forcibly annexing areas should be buried in the past. Not even important to Ukraine due to its vast need for development.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

Finish off half of Ukrainian population, in order to not to spend a penny on their pensions, healthcare, general education. Keep only a fraction of population that foreign powers will deem suitable for work in the factories and IT departments. Remove the "good for nothing" people from the fertile agricultural lands - let foreign corporations take over them. Leave as many people, as foreign corporations will require to work in the fields, and Ukraine will be "integrated in Europe" in no time.

I think that the major stumbling block in the process of Ukrainian’s European integration is corruption.

According to some international experts, a number of the following actions should be performed:
1. Granting broader powers, in particular the right of bride provocation to an independent National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
2. Providing citizens with the right to conduct a hidden audio/video recording while communicating with corrupt officials and apply directly to honest courts in order to bring them to justice.
3. Checking the costs and property value of officials and their families fit with their declared incomes.
4. Introducing a luxury tax not only for individuals, but also for legal entities that are used by corrupt officials to avoid taxation.
5. Carrying out external and internal audits of public procurement and privatization implemented by the previous authorities.
6. Arrest of illegally privatized property and state budget funds, which were exported abroad.
7. Cutting off the channels of withdrawing billions of dollars out of Ukraine into offshore zones which makes the Ukrainian tycoons to pay taxes in full.
8. Opening an administrative services network across the country that will allow citizens receive services in one place at a convenient time without standing in queues and giving bribes.

What do you mean by "European integration?" Ukraine is a European state as it is in Europe.
