The reason why I dont do those types of salads is because of time. I work too much. Do not have much time to do those things. Thats why I eat my salads simple and raw but i do know how to make a mean salad. Its just the time.

Hey Mike-I have yo-yo-ed for 20 years.I can look great, then lose it(Fritos, beer). What i do is eat nothing but "Raisan Bran" for weeks. It's tough, and boring, but it satisfies my sweet tooth, and I'm always full. After two weeks,I'm thin.

ughhh! I couldn't do that!

I can't point fingers because I've had my ups and downs also. But it would be better to find healthy choices that you can learn to like. Yes, I still have that craving for the fresh made Macadamia cookies, but I can resist.

Learn to cook your own meals is a great way to eat better. Because you can put into your meal what you like. You can also control the amount of fat, salt, sugar, etc that goes into it. Yes, I understand about the lack of time. I face that dilemma also.

Mikey, don't look at this thing as a competition because with that type of thinking, you will quit when it's over. Other lean meats include turkey, seafood, etc...

I would recommend stretching out before any exercise whether it is just stretching out your legs and arms or doing a light jog before running.

Best of luck to you!

I would guess that you DO have the time, but you choose to allocate it elsewhere.

Let me be honest with you, you are too full of excuses. Justthe6ofus posted great suggestions but you blew them off, because you are lazy. There is no miracle! You will either put in the work or you won't. If you don't put in the work, you will yo-yo for the rest of your life, or you will eventually become really fat and just stick with it until you die.

if the judging criteria is just losing % bodyweight, just starve yourself.

lifting weights is just going to make you into a superbeefcake stud muffin like me, but not the best thing for losing weight.

I'm lifting light weights for toning not for building muscle but if you think it is better to stop let me know.

OngletNYC: Wow that was just uncalled for. Calling a person lazy and what not. You do not know my schedule. When I wrote that I don't have time is because I DON'T HAVE TIME.
But what simple salads I am making, I do not stuff them down my throat to be healthy. I actually like the taste.

I also know it is a competiton but as some people might not have read my posts, I am doing this since I joined a competition. Once it is done, I am going to bulk up on some muscle for this trip I have planned in August. I know I will not be able to bulk up alot over the course of 3 months but I know I can get some meat on my bones, which is fine.

In the time you took to type those last two posts, you could have chopped some zucchini. You don't have the time because you refuse to make the time. You refuse to make the time because your health & fitness isn't important enough to you. That's why you keep shooting down advice.
