Thought it would be a great idea for those looking to lose weight, get in shape, improve their shape, or whatever to do this exercise EVERY Friday and post their score.
The "Cindy" workout is as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:
5 pullups (if you do not have pullup bar, sub with situps)
10 pushups
15 air squats
The way this works, with the clock running, the 5 pullups+10 pushups+15 air squats = ONE round. You try to do as many rounds in 20 minutes as possible.
So as not to make this a competition, if you dont want to post your actual score, you can just post the improvement from week to week. For example:
If on 9-23 you do 12 rounds and 3 pushups, then on 9-30 you do 13 rounds and 3 pushups, you can just post "Improved by one round this week".
We can all encourage and support each other to help achieve our fitness/weight loss goals. Thought this would be a fun idea for ALL OF US who frequent this forum to come together each week all for the sake of health/fitness and to motivate each other. ANYONE can do this workout no matter where you are starting from. No equipment is required and you can do it right in the comfort of your living room. There has been a bit of a "divide" here lately and hopefully, this weekly workout can help bring us a bit closer in the name of HEALTH & FITNESS.
I'm in, Lao. I agree with just posting your improvement, as well. If you're doing these at home, you'll likely have to do dead-hang pull-ups, not kipping pull-ups, and that will hurt your score. It's not about how many rounds you do, it's about improvement from the last time.
I'll have to do my baseline Cindy tonight when I get back home to NC, Lao. Good luck and congratulations to anyone and everyone who is going to participate in this.
You know, this is actually a good daily (three to four times per week) exercise for you. No equipment is needed and you can do pushups on your knees. 20 minutes a day for 3-4 days per week and (while you work on your nutrition intake) you WILL see results.
Remember also that this is in CONJUNCTION with your normal fitness routine. Its just a way to gauge results. If you do not have a regular routine, please please please just do this workout 3-5 times per week, but only count your Friday scores.
Best of luck to you.
