It is also because your core is weak. You need to strengthen your entire core. Like others have been saying you need to do other exercises to help, including your back.

On another note of doing ab workouts every day, if you are doing a DIFFERENT exercise working different parts of your core that is okay yes?

Ab muscles are different than say you pecs in that they recover faster and can be worked hard multiple times a week and not be over trained. Personally, I do abs twice a week and that's enough for me.

Another thing to remember is that your abs will not show if you do not have a lower body fat percentage. Your diet needs to be tight. Also, throw in some weighted ab exercises to build size.

My problem is not building but losing. I do a ton of cardio, ab work, it is my diet that sucks. I have to get rid of sugar.....I did it before, I can do it again (I hope!)

There you have it. Your diet is probably 60% of any program, whether it be weight loss, cutting, bulking, etc. Sugar is fine in moderation and as long as it fits into your daily macro requirements. You need carbs, a good amount of them, if you are exercising.
