I really REALLY hate it because my current pants just keep falling and my belts either strangle me or barely hold them up. Same can be said for my shirts/t-shirts. the problem is my fat is mostly concentrated in my belly and hardly anywhere else.
I should be a size 43 but no such thing exists and I hate it. 42 is still a bit too tight and im not going to deal with tightness since I hate feeling strangled/tight due to claustrophobia
The needle and thread is your friend. Just take the waist line of your garments in a bit. If you can't sew find some one who can. This is not really a big deal.
Options:
1. The needle & thread solution CattusBabe mentioned.
2. The nylon kind of belt with friction buckle that allows you to make the belt any length you wish.
3. Suspenders/braces.

Is 43 your waist size or chest size? If 43 your waist size, the solution is to lose weight. You are setting yourself up for some serious health issues with that waist size.
I sympathize with your problem if you actually have a 43 inch waist. I have also been between waist sizes for most off the rack clothes for over 30 years. I'm between a 34 and 36 waist. It is rare to find pants with a 35" waist. My waist size fluctuates based on how much I'm exercising. Sometimes I fit in the 34 pants while there have been times the 36 pants are snug.
Kinda. As a guy who does a lot of squats and ab work, I tend to have difficulty finding clothes that fit. Im a kinda tall skinny/muscular guy (6'1" and 172 lbs) but I have very defined and muscular thighs and a round booty to go with a 31" waist. Pants will be very tight in the legs butt area, but super loose on the waist.
all the time.
Shirts are the biggest problem to find to me.
I'm 6'5" at 250lbs. whatever fits my shoulders/chest, hangs like a sack of potatoes on the belly. If it fits well around the belly... my shoulders don't fit. :|
Anything that fits well in the hips usually leaves me with a gaping waist. Dress pants aren't quite as bad because they are easy to alter (especially if they only have a zipper on the side). Anything with a front button, zipper and pockets is usually not an option.
I absolutely HATE buying jeans/pants. Not only does my hips/waist make it difficult, they are so damn long. Even some of the "short" lengths are too long, even with heels.
I feel bad for men with these problems. Most of the time I just wear dresses because I hate shopping for pants. Dresser are much easier to fit.
This is the case with me now . I'm between sizes 32 and 34, and size 33 is hard to come by.
Need a tight belt to secure size 34 in place.
