I'd probably hurt someone if I didn't exercise regularly. It's key to good mental health for me.

This and for protection. Sure there are bragging rights that come along with being muscular but its also practical for fending off assailants to be able to deliver a strong blow or put someone in a choke-hold.

When I was a teenager I felt winded going up the stairs. I felt like I would die too soon if I didn't lose some weight. Now I don't feel like a prisoner in my own body. I feel more comfortable in my own skin and I can run up a flight of stairs just for fun.

Honestly, I think I'm more motivated to keep exercising than the average person because I know what it's like to be fat. One day I'm sure I'll even get a six-pack.

-Looking good in spite cranking out a few kids
-Uninhibited, acrobatic sex
-The ego boost of getting compliments
-More energy
-Finally battling a lifetime of eating disorders: this is my first year without a relapse, because now I have a healthy and positive outlet for exercising strict control over myself

In no particular order:

~ To look good.
~ To feel good.
~ To be good.
~ Its fun, I enjoy it.
~ It feels nice to be complimented and hit on by the opposite sex.
~ To stave off the inevitable ageing process.
~ I enjoy challenging myself - to reach health, fitness, weight, and performance goals.
~ It makes for better, stronger, longer lasting, super frequent, more intense sex.
~ Its mentally and spiritually beneficial.
~ It reduces and dang near eliminates stress.
~ My energy levels are always high. Despite being a parent, working two jobs (one of which is very stressful), and having to shuttle 7 year old around town for music lessons, ballet, gymnastics, birthday parties, social events, etc.
~ I sleep much better and wake feeling well rested.
~ have a great deal of self worth, self confidence, and energy/aura in my personal space that comes from setting exercise goals, consistently working my a$$ off to achieve those goals. People have described this as having a certain "PRESENCE" in my space, energy, aura, etc.

There are many more that I can list but I'll stop right here.

I think of the intro dialogue from the six million dollar man...Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability.... [Felix C] will be that man. Better than he was before. Better... stronger... faster.

Didn't cost six million. $105 per year at LA Fitness.
