Full body training is advantageous for most people as it causes to most distress, burns the most calories, builds the most lean tissue and is the most efficient. To demonstrate you can do
legs
chest and arms
back and shoulders
or
whole body
whole body
whole body
You work your entire body 3x's a week vs parts of your body once a week. More muscles worked, more muscle built, more fat burned.
hinge: deadlifts, skater squats, single leg deadlift, swings
core: deadbugs, pallof presses, planks
All of these exercise target big muscles as direct arm work, calf work, shoulder work is pointless and will be stimulated just fine with these movements.
Bodybuilding.com can be ok I suppose, but the actual routines have not been very high quality for me. It's a great resource for learning form and alternative exercises for certain muscles though.

Do you mean the website, or the forums? The website has way too many workouts that are too complicated, but the forums have really good info for beginners (and the website has a great video library on different exercises). I started out jumping between stronglifts and the all pros workout on there. If I had just stuck with one, I would have made better progress, but it still wasn't bad. Certainly better than going to some trainer who might tell me to hit the treadmill and step up and down off a box and do god knows what with the smith.
