Get your form right before you use weights. Try box squats or hire a trainer until you can get the form down. Try squatting with no shoes on. Like someone said, it could be a tightness issue. Try stretching out your hips or foam rolling before you do squats. I watched a video and liked how someone said "when you're coming up, imagine driving the floor apart with your feet". I've seen people do squats with barbells not come down to parallel and not getting the full range of motion. You want to feel the stretch in your hamstrings and glutes, otherwise you're going to get turnip legs or an injury.

I personally like deadlifting far more than doing squats but something I've noticed is if I go a few weeks deadlifting and not squatting, my squats suffer. If I do the opposite I can pick up right where I left off on deadlifts.
