The grips are fabric covered foam which wrap around and fasten with velcro. The foam seems to have broken down and flattened leaving just thin, lumpy fabric. As a woman, I don't want to use just the bare bar because I don't want calluses on my hands.

I would look at some sort of soft-grip tape that you can wrap around it. I'm thinking of what you would put on the grip part of a baseball bat or tennis racket, but you may have to explore what's available.

I don't know where you can get replacement grips, but if you don't want calluses you could wear workout gloves which you can get at a sporting goods store.

Have you tried looking online to see if the manufacturer of your particular pullup bar sells replacement grips? Mike555 and L2DB gave very good recommendations in their posts. Also, an even cheaper easier method is to chalk up your hands.
