Some women are naturally thin and don't have large hips to begin with. I have had people tell me I'm "not a real woman" or that my body is "mannish" (which is all really rude, sorry) because I don't have wide hips or an hourglass figure. Squats and diet have not helped, either.
I'm 37 - 27 - 39 (at the widest point which for me is at the top of the thigh) the actual hip line is 38, and trust me...it's a bone there. I think my tiny waist accentuates the hips. When most people see wide hips, it's because the waistline is tiny. There are a lot of thin, athletic bodies out there, but they do not have a small waist and therefore, their hips don't look so wide. For me, again the trouble spot is not the actual hip line, it's the upper outer thigh. I work like hell to keep them in check, but I just can't get that last couple inches down to match my other dimensions. Yeah, if I could afford it - I'd lipo that crap! LOL
my little brother always makes fun of my "weird body" because I'm 34-24-38. I'm a size 4, maybe 6 depending on the pants/brand but my hips look that much wider because of my teeny waist. In fact my upper body measurements have pretty much been the same since I was 13 (I'm 24 now). Luckily, as evident here, I have a "feminine" body, hehehehe . Except that link with all the women that someone posted, those women don't have hips, they have thighs and giant knockers...biiig difference!
Anyways, thanks guys, this thread is very informative!
Yow-has that been photo-shopped? To each their own, I guess.
