Yeah, I currently weigh 400lbs and am 5'6. I hoping to get about 50lbs off so I can shave a few seconds off my mile times and get under a 4minute mile.

However, I don't feel too bad since this past weekend I was 137lbs and 6'0 and finished in the top 20 at the boston marathon and I ran it backwards for the first 15 miles on a dare.

Well, everybody is not built like you...Every-bodies bodies are different. Thats why it is very important that you take care of your self. And for those of you who say that you can't gain weight regarless of what you eat. Head's up to you. My bf is 5'6 and never weighed more then 105 pounds her whole life up until 2 years ago. Now she weighs close to 140.00. Any change in diet, no. But her eating habits caught up to her. She is 35 by the way.

I'm going to assume those are measured in mg's and are in relation to some sort of prescription. Best of luck.

No it was in lbs. 10 45 lb disks plus the bar is 495. But that usually doesn't go over well with someone who is taller

If you're referring to the girls, it's probably because of the hormones in today's dairy products.

While you can't blame government for people's irresponsibility, you can blame them if their actions are contributing to the problem. Look at how prevalent high fructose corn syrup is. Maybe if the government gave subsidies to farmers who grow fruits and vegetables instead of to corn growers, HFCS wouldn't be so cheap to produce and fruits and veggies would be more affordable.

Totally. Whenever I weight lift in an environment set to over 1.2 x the force of gravity it tends to shrink me a couple inches and depresses my maximums.

So, when I'm really trying to impress the ladies I set the gravity lower in my home gym so they can see me benching 1000lbs and dunking a basketball from the top of the key from the observation lounge.

The problem is the set-up is a huge energy drain so I have to turn down the AC and it gets a little hot in the gym.

Has anyone watched Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution? He's tackling the problem of school lunches and obesity in general. It's a very interesting show.

Default Scene from the movie "The Blob" ? Nope - worse.

No it's not "the Blob" This is actually a living breathing human being.
This is not how we are supposed to living life and this picture is extremely sad. If this were me I would rather be dead.
