I have read that Enzo himself was quite contemptuous of people who bought his cars and didn't drive them as he and God intended.

That said, there are probably a lot more F40s out there than there are people who can use the entire performance envelope provided.

there were 3 of them in our car club. Here's one lining up for a run at the local autocross:

Yeah, I thought the 360 was an aesthetic disaster and the 430 was only a minor improvement.

I'm still not sold on the 458's design -- I'd need to see one in person first. But if I were in the market for this kind of car, I'm pretty sure the performance would go a long way toward overcoming my ambivalence about its appearance. This car is a track monster, even in its rarified class.
