This was years ago... it ran about $600-700 (Canadian) per session, can't remember the exact amount... I had 6 sessions total, and the touch ups were free. So it was a lot, considering I was in college at the time... but actually I think (or thought at the time at least) I got a good deal. But, like I said, well worth it. But the pain, my god... at points, I couldn't believe how much I was spending for someone to essentially torture me. So glad it's over and done with.
I started shaving them a few moths ago, after I noticed how hairy they looked in a picture. My arm hair is blonde but when the sun shines on them they look really hairy, well I thought they did. Now I shave once a week.

bleach the hair and it will blend in your skin, there is hair bleach for body hair.. i bleached mines years ago with peroxide and i haven't had visible hair since
I personally don't shave my arms, because I have very fair hair. I much more recommend either waxing or epilating rather than shaving since arms are not that sensitive and your hair will grow back fairer. I think it's completely normal to want to shave those hair though.
I shaved my arms for my wedding 10 years ago and still continue to do so. Looks so much better. I have very dark hair on my arms. One day hoping to laser it.
I'm very much in favor of removing arm hair (mine is coal black and thick). But I do NOT shave it. I used Nads at first, until it got somewhat sparser and finer, then moved to an epilator.
I shave pretty much everything, except for my legs, head and goatee. I just feel cleaner. I've done it for years.
