I don't see anything wrong with these women. They look healthy, most of them had pretty nice legs, and they look confident. Back then men didn't care if they had a little softness - most men still don't now. "Hard bodies" was not an ideal at that time. And they didn't hide behind makeup and bottles of hair dyes. I don't think people have gotten better looking at all. If suddenly women had no cosmetics and had to let their hair color grow out they would look no prettier than the women in those old photos. About the only thing I can think of that has improved, and helps one's appearance, is dental care.
As for movie stars, the sexiest movie star photos I've seen were of actresses in the 20's thru the 50's. I loved the way they looked and it's probably from the clothes and the cool hairdos. Photographers knew their stuff, too. They did more with black and white photography than they do now with all the current camera equipment.

You know that most women don't dye their hair, right?

I'm with you.
I don't get this big deal over "muscle tone" and it seems now having some tone is all the rage.
I think it kinda looks gross. Looks hard.
Just think,2 hard bodies in the bed. Which one is the man?

I think nearly every single one of my lady friends dyes their hair in some way, be it all over or highlights. I started going grey in my late teens but started dying my hair every color in the rainbow long before that.
I've been a 'natural' redhead for a while now Otherwise, I'm a 28 year old with 50% grey hair, 50% mousy brown hair.
Most women I know do whether it's full color or highlights, streaking............
Seriously, I just thought about all the females I know and worked with, and those who highlight or cover gray are in the vast majority.
Same here. Pretty much all women I come into contact either dye their hair red, a dark shade of brown, or blonde. The only exception are my Asian friends who keep their hair black.
