I hate fake before/after pictures that are deceiving like the ones above. They always use unflattering before pictures in bad angles and good angles for the after pictures. Some of the before pictures have messy hairs, show teeth defects, ugly fake hair colors like pink and glasses. Many women are not smiling also in the before picture which makes the gap between their mouth and nose look bigger
This is how the makeup industry sells all their lies. For the most part you don't change a lot with makeup. If you are unnatractive or older make up is not gonna fix that
Having said that I don't like the tone of the OP .

I think there are many women out there like that, although I am not one of them.
Agree. and neither am I. But, losts of women get all decked up to get attention. and what women who isnt sick gets a boob job other than for male attraction?
OP, though I agree with you on your assessment of some of the women out here,(though some want to deny it goes on) I think the reason women do this is because it DOES get them attention from men. You say its the WRONG type of men, but i see all kinds of everyday men being attracted to those types.
While its great to hear a man say what you said, I then go out in the real world and see these type of women getting the men. It seems they dont care, as long as she is hot.
Wait, are you telling me that men do buy nice cars primarily to please women?
Then how does it work, help me understand.
I mean say here you have Zamboni, Martini and Ferrari in front of you in a row, (sorry I am not a big specialist in cars) so you are looking at all three and saying to yourself... exactly what?
Not that "Oh, I've been dreaming about Zamboni ( Martini, Ferrari,) since I saw the picture of it at the tender age of 10 and now that I finally have money, this it what I'm going to buy," but "Oh, the heck with what I wanted since the tender age of 10, the question is how am I going to impress wimmin more - in Martini or Ferrari?"
But this is plain wrong))))
... that's exactly what he was saying, that most men buy cars to please themselves, and not to impress women.
I do have a nice car; I bought it because I'd wanted that specific model and color combo since I first laid eyes on it, and the first time I drove it, it was pure driving Nirvana.
Incidentally, most women I've dated, even if they think cars are frivolous and stupid, end up thinking that my car is "cool" in short form; however, I've never "picked up chicks" using it.
Lol ...sickly pale, washed out, with a shiny nose and little sleepy puffy piglet eyes rimmed in dark circles, lol...
I'm bemused by all this. My wife never wears any makeup--not even at our wedding!--and I think she looks fine. She just looks like herself. I'm quite sure so-called "beauty products" wouldn't do anything to improve her appearance. In fact, that quoted sentence sounds kind of hysterical. Imagine a perfectly normal person in such a state! When someone has to exaggerate so much, I have to wonder if they really believe what they're saying.
I wish everyone here listed the area they live in, because I suspect that what seems normal in one place could be a horror a few hundred miles away, but there's no way to check it. The people we're friends with here (suburbs of Boston) are techies, outdoors people and students, and total lack of makeup is normal, and I think for us a full face of it would seem freaky. The men don't expect it, and nor do the women. It's kind of sad that a women feels she needs concealment to face the world, and even more sad if women are saying other women routinely need it too. There are enough problems in the world that I just can't see the point of creating new ones! All anyone needs to do is accept themselves and other people. Seems easy enough.

OK, so then he basically agreed with what other poster said earlier, that " most women aren't dressing or grooming to please men - but rather to please themselves?" ( because he was responding to this particular statement) ??
Me personally - I am not sure that both are universally-correct answers, because sometimes it's a case and sometimes it's not. It depends on a person I suppose.

See, you had a dream, but does it mean that everyone has a particular dream in this respect? Could it be that not really, and SOME men start thinking about flashy cars ( or workouts) precisely with a purpose to impress/score as many women as possible?
I think it might be a case, as much as a fact that SOME women are using make-up and what's not in order to seek men's attention and approval, and some don't.
So basically both scenarios are true.
All I know is that everytime I go out with my natural face,no one gives me any attention.
With makeup,I do get some attention.
Men say they like natural online, but real life is a different story.
What about us poor gals who aren't naturally beautiful?
What are we supposed to do,rot away while everyone else passes us by?
This is me, with no makeup on, and after I let my hair dry naturally (I have crazy hair). OK, I also have a crazy look on my face, but I took this photo to send to my daughter to show her how weird my hair looks growing out:
But notice the sallow skin, no color to my lips, no long eyelashes - COMPLETELY NATURAL, FOLKS!
Now, here I am, in my normal "fixed up" state - the way I face each day right before I walk out my front door:
Uh, yeah. That's "natural" enough for me. I know which look my husband appreciates more too!
[quote=Ascension2012;28977810]There is a disconnect that I have been observing in recent years, in the way that women alter their appearance and in what men actually find attractive. For the sake of this conversation, lets assume that we are talking about heterosexual women, who traditionally look for some sort of commitment from their future mate. Of course plenty of women in today's world also seek ONS and companionship other than a long term relationship or marriage, lets just stick to this traditional ........yes i agree with you....but there are some cases where they need to make up like kathryn.but again should not do too much make up

LOL Most fifty one year old women need makeup! I could get away with lipgloss and a dash of mascara when I was in my twenties, but those days are long gone!
The vast majority of "natural" women are wearing at least a bit of makeup, guys. Don't kid yourselves.
