I look much better very thin. I've been 125 at 5'9" and am now about 160. I feel like a fatty. I carry my weight i my hips and waist.

Well, depends on the individual. Speaking in general terms, those of us who are older look better with a few "extra." I am nearly 70 now, 5'8" 150 (toned more or less) pounds. When I was 20-40 weighed about 125-130. I would look gaunt and sick if I were that low now, I look and feel good and healthy at my current weight, I try to maintain my shape (and health) through proper eating and exercise.

I think this one also will be closed, so I just want to say, No. I think women with 'full' faces and blocky torsos tend to look better toward the low end of the normal weight range; but at underweight most or all curves disappear and the result resembles a girl's body, which is creepy (and, I suspect, comfortably nostalgic/youthful to some of those women), and skin and hair probably won't look their best. Understandably so, as underweight is unhealthy.

Define “ underweight”.

I spent six years between 90 lbs and 105 lbs at 5'5.5", age 37-42. Several of those years I was under 100 lbs. I am paying for it dearly now with very low bone density at age 46. I'm still trying to come to terms with how my body looks now though with a butt and hips at 113 lbs. I do workout a lot but due to multiple injuries from pushing my body so hard for so long on so little I am not able to do as much as I used to. I am rail thin on top, flat chest, but carry all my fat in lower body which I really hate, but that's the way it is.

No one looks “their best” at an unhealthy weight. That doesn’t mean not beautiful, but definitely not your best.
