Hubby has a straight razor. There is NO WAY a disposable can work as well as that thing! Now if he ever decides to use it again is a different matter, lol!
I find that mens razors worked better than this one when shaving my legs...
I got turned on to Bic Soleil when i ran out of my usual Bic product and borrowed one of the Bic Soleils from my daughter. best razor i've ever used. Not sure if its a mens or womans razor,to me a razor is a razor.

The best razor I ever used was the twin blade with the flexible blades from 10+ years ago. It's been discontinued, since they now have 5 or 6 blades. But nothing else comes close. I HATE the 5 blade razors, the blades are too close, and the hair gets jammed up in there and takes too long to clean out.
I found some Wilkinson disposables that copied the flex blade design, and recently tried them. But it's not the same. Anything after the Mach 3 is a waste of money to me, especially at $5 per cartridge!
No matter the razor we opt to use, it was only recently that I learned to use other than standard shaving cream. My daughter (a Makeup Artist) introduced me to the use of a highly viscous/mildly fragrant Sandlewood oil. It softens the skin and facial stuble. I'll normally apply the oil and let it set for a few minutes. Then, I'll apply either a shaving cream or any available skin lotion and shave. The results: a very close and smooth shave.
