there's an old saying in parts of maine where the gene pool is quite shallow,,,,...the eyes are too close for the nose
LOL! I am always mistaken for having small eyes. Reality is, they aren't that small. They aren't round (mine are almond-shaped, which for whatever reason people find unusual), and I am nearsighted so if I wear glasses, my lenses shrink my eyes.
My face is "small" and my features are pretty close together in general. I've got a button nose, full lips and sparse eyebrows.
I once read that if you took an image of your face, cut it in half straight down the middle, removed one side, then projected the mirror image of the remaining side to make a "whole" face again, you would look like an entirely different person. I suppose someone with a good set of photoshop skills can find out if this is true or not. I think it's really cool, if true.

I know beginner artist when they draw another person that face will look more like their own, because their face is the most they looked at closely. I drew my first guy with my face and a beard.
I'm with you. I have a couple pics in my photo albums. I've never felt like I was very photogenic, though. Most pictures of me I scratch my head and wonder if I really look that bad. Then I'll look in the mirror and I don't think I do. I don't worry about it too much, though. It's not like I need to post a pic for my OLD profile.
Also, a description is completely subjective anyway and would be completely normalized to the observer. I am no "pretty boy" but I don't think I qualify as "ruggedly handsome" either. Somewhere in between? Or someone else may even say "ugly as sin" for all I know.
You're very good-looking with a gorgeous wife too! She's beautiful!
I know I'm not around much. I started nursing school this semester so just don't have much time. I knew I'd be busy but never imagined it would literally take up every second of my life. It's the snow days that got me here a few times last week, lol.

iknowftball, your face looks so handsome . Also, I respect your bravery and sincerity for serving as a US Marine.
A longish oval, slightly rectangle, but closest to oval than anything. Large, wide set, almond shaped eyes, medium nose (kinda wide), and small, narrow mouth. High cheekbones, but with round cheeks when I smile.
