Is there anyone who does not think that they look hilariously ridiculous?

Picture, maybe?

I have never seen a man in what I would call culottes. A kilt, however is an entirely different thing.

I had to rush over to this thread because it was just a hilarious title. Maybe a new reality show? Men Who Wear Culottes and the Fashionistas Who Hate Them.

Never saw a man wear culottes. In fact, women don't wear much them anymore.

OP, are you sure that is what you are talking about?

My guess is that he doesnt know what he's talking about. I've never heard of them before and had to do a quick Google search. Dont think I have ever in my life seen a man wear anything like that while out and about.

Closest thing Ive seen to it would be part of an Aikido/Hakama pants that are worn by samurai or ninja. Not something that dudes wear regularly. Im sure there may be some designer in some part of the world who was unable to come up with an original idea for his/her collection so he/she may have borrowed from the Hakama/Aikido/Samurai outfit to try to pass it off as mens fashion as he sends models down the runway wearing them, but that would just be stupid. And of course, no one in their right mind would see this and think that men wear those as fashion. LOLOLOLOL

Still, they arent culottes anyway and no one is going to try to say that hakama pants/aikido uniform is going to be passed off as "fashion" be seeing regular dudes walking around wearing as fashion.

Lol I did the same. I haven't heard that word since 5th grade, used by my 60something teacher. I'm 40!

I know what I'm talkin' 'bout. I saw a few (not many but a few) men...yes MEN, wearing them. Maybe they were European men but I absolutely saw them and was like whaaaaahhhh. It was quite a site - a bad one.

Edit: Kinda looked like the pic in that link but they were a little tighter and the guys were older - I would guess in their late 50's or so. And they weren't denim, but soft cotton. And I should mention that I'm in Boston and walk about 15 min through some touristy areas on my way to the subway after work on most days. They may have been tourists? I don't know but it was definitely men and they were definitely wearing culottes.

Some guys do wear cropped pants or capri-type things, but those aren't culottes.

When short guys do not pull up their long shorts it may look like culottes - with baggy butts.
