Those that wear glasses, whats the best and worse way to clean your classes both the lenses and the frame? Using the solution given by the eye doctor or just regular soap and water?
I don't get any sort of solution from the eye doctor. I primarily use the microfiber cloth that comes with the glasses. That cleans them pretty well. If the frames start getting a little buildup (from makeup or hairspray), I'll use a little rubbing alcohol. But full disclosure, I don't wear my glasses full time. Just whenever I'm letting my eyes rest from contact lenses.
It seems like allergies make it more necessary to clean glasses. I use lens cleaning wipes daily but every few days, I need to use Dawn dishwashing liquid and hot water on them before I wipe them on a microfiber cloth.
I run them under water and then polish the lenses with a microfiber cloth. I don't have any problem with the frames getting dirty, but if I did, I imagine a little soap would do the trick.
I usually run them under tap water, and wipe with the small microfiber cloth zenni sends when you order a pair. I typically don't wipe them when dry, to help prevent small scratches.
i TAKE A PAPER TOWEL AND FOLD IT TO A TRiangle and run it under the hottest water i can with dawn dish detergent and wipe the glasses, then rinse under the hottest water.
shake them t get the water off the roll the glass on a paper towel and blot, dont wipe, just pat.
crystal clear, been doing this for years. i have the wipe cloths if a smudge gets on the wile wearing them.
but every morning at work, thats the procedure i do.
